Thoughtful financing gives filmmakers the creative freedom and production resources required to bring ambitious stories to the screen. Every opportunity is project-specific and subject to financing terms, eligibility requirements and applicable securities laws.
Can Black Opiate provide full-service production support in Canada?
Yes. We can assemble and manage a complete Canadian production operation for domestic, U.S. and international projects filming in Canada.
Services can include producing, production management, crew, camera, sound, transportation, budgeting, scheduling, local logistics and support with eligible tax-credit applications. We shape the production plan around the creative, financial and delivery requirements of the project.
Can I hire Black Opiate for just one production service?
Absolutely. Productions may engage us for a single service or a tailored combination of services.
À la carte support can include budgets, schedules, travel and immigration documentation, location logistics, crew sourcing, transportation, production planning or another clearly defined need. Contact us with your requirements and we will recommend the most efficient scope.
Is Vancouver a strong place to film my project?

When should I bring Black Opiate into my project?
The earlier, the better. Bringing an experienced production partner in during development or pre-production allows us to test the budget, schedule, financing assumptions, locations and incentive strategy before expensive decisions are locked in.
We can also step into a project later when a specific production challenge needs to be solved.
